How to remove a contact lens

The first thing to do when removing a contact is to wash your hands thoroughly. Be sure to use plenty of soap to wash away any germs preventing pink eye. Turn off the faucet and dry your hands on a clean towel. When you're finished with that take out your contacts case and unscrew each lid. Take the contact solution and squirt enough to fill the small cup to put your contacts in over night. Next be sure you have plenty of light, turn of some lamps or the over head if necessary. Open your eye wide and with your left hand reach around and pull up the lid of your eye with either your index or middle finger, which ever is more comfortable. I suggest the middle, because it pulls it up higher which is needed. After the with your right hand reach underneath your eye with also the middle right finger and pull the bottom part of your eye down opening the eye wide. Continue with your right index and thumb to gently reach into the eye and softly pinch from each side of the eye the contact lens and lift it off. After it is out easily place it into one side of your contact container and screw on either the "L" lid for your left eye. Finally repeat for your right eye, and you are ready for bed.
